Founder, Standing Watch

HSU Inc., our family company, has cleaned homes and commercial buildings for more than twenty years. Cleaning addresses what is immediately apparent to your eye. Standing Watch looks after heat, water, power, and the roof: the parts of a home that fail, usually without warning.

That standard comes from professional yachts. On a yacht you do not wait for something to break. You check on a schedule, write down what you find, and fix the small problems before they become a crisis. I ran that as a ship’s officer and later in yacht management. Standing Watch applies the same method to your home.

Twice a year we photograph what needs attention and send you a PDF of the visit. Equipment model numbers go in that log, so if something fails later you do not have to explain the home twice. When a problem needs a repair, we quote it first. Nothing proceeds without your approval. Then we do the work, or we schedule the company and handle every detail with them, whether you are home or away.
